We all have rejection stories. This is why rejection is so devastating to people and can cause decades of lasting scars. People try to find importance and validation in people or in things like their careers or positions. Healing can only come when we stop seeing ourselves as a victim and realize that we have one powerful and everlasting source of love and acceptance. God's love will set us free of all the rejection we have experienced in our lives.
