Does Your Eating Honor God?


The way you view food can drastically change when you put God at the center of your eating habits. The Bible tells us to glorify God with our bodies, and that includes our eating habits. Eating can be an act of worship, but many of us don't treat it that way. We often use food as comfort and stress-relief. 

There's a spiritual dimension to food and a strong link between physical fitness and spiritual fitness. If you find yourself thinking about food more than you think about God, your life is out of balance. When you eat for any reason other than nourishment, you become an unfillable vessel. More is never enough in that moment because what you need is not food. 

This video teaches how to develop a God-honoring relationship with food. When we overeat, it's not about filling our stomach, it's about trying to fill an empty heart. What we are actually craving is the presence and love of God. We're trying to fill a spiritual need with a physical comfort. By changing some habits and making an effort, we can be set free of unhealthy eating habits that do not honor God.
