THE MORALITY PROBLEM: JESUS WARNED US

Senseless Acts of Violence
By Jim Carvell

With these recent events around the world where one person takes lives and wounds the bodies and minds of innocent victims and their families, we need to understand these events are most likely not going away. Actually, they will grow worse and worse until Christ returns to put all His enemies under His foot (power). (Hebrews 2:8 ) &  ...All power is given unto me (Jesus) in heaven and in earth ....( Matt 28: 18)
The Apostle Paul in (2 Timothy 3:) tells us ... This know also, that in the last days perilous ( violent w/ raging insanity ) times will come... He then lists nineteen personality behaviors some people will posses during these days. I will use just a couple to make my point. He said some will be without natural affection, this could mean to be simply unsociable or does it mean without natural affection one learns from growing up in a loving, stable family, which is far less in existence today then ever before. He also said some would be incontinent, meaning without self control or not being tame. He said some would actually be fierce, meaning brutal. Last he said some would have a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof.
This brings me to my point, Paul tells us then in verse 13 of (2 Tim 3:).... But evil men and impostors will grow worse and worse...These senseless acts of extreme violence which are growing in number, are the lacking of true godliness in our citizenry. Our morals have decayed, our values and thinking are becoming twisted to the point of insanity.
These acts are not a gun problem. The guns on their own do not commit violent crimes ( main stream media ). But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away by his own lust (desires), and enticed. Then when lust has conceived, it brings forth sin (gives birth to sin), and sin, when it is finished, brings forth death. ( James 1: 14-15 )
The world needs JESUS and His POWER thereof. Not more blaming of guns or more gun laws which will not work, since guns are not the problem.
The Apostle Paul said it best when he said, For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to the Jew first, and also to the Greek ( to the rest of us )....(Rom 1: 16).
